What is energy work?
Energy work, including Reiki, is a gentle practice that works with the body’s natural energy system. Rather than diagnosing or treating medical conditions, Reiki and intuitive energy work support your body’s own ability to relax, restore, and rebalance. Many traditions recognize that emotional, spiritual, and physical health are interconnected, and by addressing the energy level, the body can heal more effectively.
Reiki is complementary to, not a replacement for, medical care or professional mental health support.
How can energy work support you?
Energy work can support you in many ways, including:
- Stress and anxiety: Many people find that sessions quiet the nervous system, allowing the body to shift from “fight or flight” to rest and calm.
- Grief and emotional processing: Energy work can create safe space for emotions to move through and be acknowledged.
- Burnout and feeling “off”: If you’ve been running on empty, energy sessions help you reconnect to yourself and feel grounded again.
- Trauma and fear: Gentle energy work can help the nervous system feel safer and begin to release stored tension or fear that lives in the body.

What to expect after a session
Every person’s experience is unique, but here’s what many clients notice:
- Feeling lighter, calmer, and more at peace
- A sense of being heard and understood on a deep level
- Possible emotional release (tears, laughter, a shift in perspective)
- Increased need for rest, water, or gentle movement
- Clarity or new insights that arise in the days after a session
- A sense of groundedness and connection to yourself
Self-care after your session:
- Drink plenty of water.
- Rest if you feel called to.
- Avoid heavy, emotionally intense situations for at least a few hours.
- Journal if insights come through.
- Move gently (walk, stretch, yoga) to integrate the experience.

Energy work & physical pain relief
While Reiki and energy work do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment, many people find that sessions with Ria remove physical pain, tension, and stress-related symptoms.
By relaxing the nervous system and improving the flow of energy in the body, pain can feel less sharp and disappear completely, heaviness can soften, and the body may have more capacity to heal. Clients frequently report relief in headaches, muscle tension, back pain, and other discomforts—especially when these have an emotional or stress component.

Intuitive guidance is a way of accessing information beyond what the logical mind alone can know. When I work with you in an Intuitive Guidance Session, I’m tuning into your energy and the subtle information present around your situation.
This might show up as:
- Clear knowings or images that relate to what you’re going through
- Sensing emotions or patterns you haven’t named yet
- Receiving messages or wisdom that feel “spot on”
- At times, connection with loved ones who have passed or guidance from unseen
support
